What are the duas that one should read before and after slaughtering the Qurbani Animal?

The Qurbani animal should be placed on it’s left side facing the Qiblah and the following dua should be recited before slaughtering the animal:

Translation: “I have set my direction firmly and truly towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth. And never shall I give partners to Allah. Verily, my worship and my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah Sustainer of the worlds. O Allah this sacrifice is from you and is for you.”

What is the correct Shariah Time and Days that one is permitted to perform Udhiya or Qurbani?

The Time of Udhiya / Qurbani
1) Udhiya is only valid during the three days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, namely the 10th, 11th and 12th, and cannot be performed in any other day of the year.

2) Although Udhiya is permissible on each of the above three days, the first day (i.e. the 10th of Dhu’l-Hijjah) is the most preferable and desired day.

3) Generally, Udhiya is not allowed before Eid Salat. If Udhiya is being done at a place where Eid Salat is not performed, the slaughter should commence after the completion of Eid Salat in the nearby town/city. However, according to the Hanafi School, in small villages where Eid prayer is not to be performed, Udhiya can be offered any time after the break of dawn on the 10th of Dhu’l-Hijjah.

4) Udhiya can be performed during night time. However, it is preferable to perform it during the daytime.

The blessed ten days of Dhul Hijjah are approaching us, it is Mustahab/Commendable for a person who intends to offer a sacrifice to refrain from cutting/trimming his hair and nails until he slaughters.

The Holy Prophet ﷺ said:
من كان له ذبح يذبحه فإذا أهل هلال ذي الحجة فلا يأخذن من شعره ولا من أظفاره شيئا حتى يضحي.
“One who has a sacrifice that he shall slaughter and the new moon of Dhul Hijjah is sighted, then he should not take(cut/trim)from his hair or nails anything until he slaughters." (Sahih Muslim)

Hakim-ul-Ummat Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Na'eemi رحمه الله has stated, Those who are unable(don't find the means) to perform Qurbani should not get their hair cut during the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah; instead, they should get their hair cut on the day of Eid after offering the Eid Salaah. In this way, they will get Sawaab (of performing the Qurbani). Miratul Manaajih

Their struggle

The anti-Muslim propaganda perpetrated by India’s elected and unelected leaders in 2021 has also been supported by the country’s brazenly Islamophobic media, as well as anti-Muslim laws and policies passed or proposed in many states. Muslims in India have been feeling under threat since the Hindu nationalist BJP came to power in 2014. But in the past year, hostility towards this community became even more overt. Today, far-right Hindu nationalists, with the support and at times encouragement of the government and local authorities, are making it clear to Muslims that they are no longer seen as equal citizens in their own country.
